Construction and finishes
José Torres guitars are made by the best Luthiers, who select the best woods for each of the guitars. The construction of each of the guitars is carried out with the most absolute control and rigor, from the marquetry to the assembly, polishing, varnishing and final finishes.
Our workshop is equipped with the most modern technology for drying and treating wood, humidity control, precision calibration, measurement and computer-controlled machining.
All this to achieve a unique, light, comfortable, versatile and flexible instrument, with the appropriate action for each of the different styles. The 3-year warranty offered by Jose Torres is the best reflection of manufacturing under the strictest quality parameters.
Body and neck
José Torres offers guitars with a wide variety of woods, of different colors, noble and exotic, which give them the quality and elegance that every guitarist seeks. Cedar and spruce woods on the tops, mahogany, Indian rosewood or maple on the sides and backs, as well as more exotic woods of ciricote, sycamore, sandalwood or ebony. The final result is a unique piece, authentic works of craftsmanship.
The guitar neck is designed to offer the best comfort, with an ergonomic design to avoid unnecessary efforts so that guitarists can focus exclusively on the music. The adjustments are very important, and the feel of the guitar must be pleasant to slide along the neck comfortably. Masts manufactured in cedar or mahogany wood, with fingerboards of Indian palosanto or ebony.
Sound
Jose Torres guitars offer a balanced sound, rich in harmonics, with very good sound projection.
The different woods, appropriately chosen according to the model and its function, classical or flamenco, offer a great variety of tones within the entire range.
